THE BOTTOM LINE: YOUNG ADULT

YOUNG ADULT

STARRING:  Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson, Jill Eikenberry, Mary Beth Hurt and Richard Bekins

DIRECTOR:  Jason Reitman

GENRE:  Comedy

SYNOPSIS:  A delusional, immature divorcee returns to her small hometown in order to win back her married ex-boyfriend.

RATING:  R

RUNNING TIME:  94 Mins

THE GOOD:  Fasten your seat belts and take this fast car straight to crazy town!  Yes, it is going to be a bumpy ride!

Screenwriter Diablo Cody (JUNO and THE UNITED STATES OF TARA) is the real star of this film.  Her script has brought Charlize Theron back to life!  And reviving someone’s misguided career isn’t easy; especially after they have appeared in films like HANCOCK and THE ROAD.

But, trust me, Oscar winner Charlize Theron is back and back with a vengeance!  I look forward to her performances in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN and PROMETHEUS.

Patton Oswalt (THE KING OF QUEENS and THE UNITED STATES OF TARA) leaves TV behind for his big screen starring role!  Yes, it is tailor-made… but he is most deserving!

THE BAD:  There’s no cure for crazy!

THE UGLY:  Mental disease…

MY SCORE:  ***

(3 OUT OF 5 STARS)
