THE BOTTOM LINE: 21 JUMP STREET

21 JUMP STREET

STARRING:  Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Brie Larson, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle, Ice Cube, DeRay Davis and Holly Robinson Peete

DIRECTORS:  Phil Lord and Chris Miller

GENRE:  Comedy

SYNOPSIS:  Youthful looking cops go undercover at a high school in order to bust a synthetic drug ring.

RATING:  R

RUNNING TIME:  109 Mins

THE GOOD:  Rude and crude, this one is going to make you laugh and then laugh some more.  Even, if you are too young to remember the TV show (1987-1991) that gave us movie star Johnny Depp.

Dynamic duo Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have an undeniable chemistry; in front of and behind the camera.  Their version is right on target.

Finally, a movie that knows its audience and knows how to entertain!

THE BAD:  The last quarter of the film doesn’t measure up… but, since the rest is so good, you won’t care.

THE UGLY:  No cameos from Dustin Nguyen, Peter DeLuise, Richard Greico or Steven Williams… Where is the love?

MY SCORE:  ****
